If they are seriously considering your position, they will do the criminal background check after your interview; the results usually come back after a day or two. You may want to call and see (without mentioning the background check) what the status is of your interview. They may just be interviewing a lot of people or had a certain date in mind to close the interviewing process. Good luck.

One job, had me go through the whole process, Basic Introductory, then interview, drug screening and background check, waited 3-4 weeks to be told they wont be hiring no more. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH What a waste of my time

usually it is done after the interview, due to the fact that it normally requires a fee to do and the employer wants to make sure that they are even interested in the potential employee, prior to spending the money to do one...it varies between employers though...time varies depending on if they use local police or fbi but can usually be between one day and one month

Call them - ask how it's going.

As to when, IF they do it at all, they would do it after the interview - no reason to go through the time and effort if you weren't going to be hired anyway.

They can take a couple of weeks, depending on which service they are using. I would not sweat a week.
