I would vote for Barack Obama. I voted for him for Senator and am quite happy with that vote. I know people talk about his lack of political experience, but look at our current president. He was governor of Texas and that experience certainly didn't make him much of a president. On the other hand, there was another tall, lanky guy from Illinois with less political experience than Obama who did all right as president. I'm not saying Obama's going to be another Lincoln, just pointing out that the "political experience" argument is kind of bogus. And for all those people who claim not to know where Obama stands on issues or don't know anything about his background, read his books, you'll get lots of answers there. His books are refreshingly honest. Instead of trying to cover up drug use and DUI's, unlike some presidents we could mention, he admits to having tried illegal drugs and not liking it. His candidness and willingness to stand up for what he believes are a really nice change from what we usually get from politicians. He also has some very sound, and intriguing, political ideas. Anyone who gets there information from somewhere other than FOX knows he has some good ideas (and again I will say, read his books!).

Al Gore hasn't declared candidacy that is just speculation.
Clinton has a strong amount of Bill Clinton's legacy hung on her. That will be a huge problem for her.
Barack Obama is just as unlikely because he is black. Unfortunately Bush's homophobia has reminded people to pay attention to their favorite bigot causes. Blacks are going to have trouble getting into office for a few years. This is a huge problem for Obama.
Honestly I think Obama has a better chance of winning than Clinton. It will depend a large part on whether the older generation is more against women or blacks. In this case the feminists might manage to convince everyone that more of the older generation is against women's rights. Therefore they will be. Self fulfilling prophecy. The same could happen to blacks if Obama doesn't takes the time to manage the situation, but he is a better speaker than Clinton.

IF I vote?
For Shame!
Always vote!
If you don't, you have no griping rights for four years!
There's quite a few more Democrats running that those two. Gore has said he's not running. I think neither the sex or the race of a candidate should be an issue. It will be for some, but America is going to break that barrier, and sooner rather than later. If he's in the running when my State votes, I'll vote for Obama.

I support Obama. I will vote for him if he's in ninth place by the time the NY primary comes up (unless the reason he's in ninth is really bad).
After Obama, I have to go down a tier to Bill Richardson. I'm not crazy about Clinton or Edwards. If Gore ran, he'd take the number two spot.
If Mike Bloomberg ran, he would trump all but Obama in the general election.

I would like to think gender and race had nothing to do with it but I think it plays a huge roll. If you study true conservative thinking you will notice that most fallow father figures that know best instead of representatives of the people`s will. this is the main difference between Liberals and Conservatives plus the all of us together/everyman for himself thing.
I think Obama has the edge on Hillery but not by much because the women does not fit the father figure image as the "head of the household" or decider or president that is strong manly looking that is the protector. I agree with this statement but I am not looking for a father figure I am looking for a representative of the people`s will. I know a women will keep me just as safe as a man and I don`t care if others laugh at us because we have a girl president just think of the good example we would be. I would not vote for Hillery over Obama because she sides with the large corporations too much for me. But I will vote for her over a republican because that party has been hijacked and they need to regroup.

Al Gore isn't running for president.
I don't like Hillary, but would vote for her just to watch Cons heads explode. Unfortunately she has too much baggage.
Obama has his share of issues, but I like the way the guy presents himself.
I would prefer to have a candidate that has a chance in hell of getting this country back on track, and I don't know if either democratic candidate has what it takes. I would vote for a republican, but only if they embraced traditional conservative values.

I'd probably go with Al Gore, on the count of him being a weather man, and the inventor of the internet and all. He's really smart. What do you think?
