A wheel having more diameter than other, then the wheel having more diameter will make more displacement within less number of rotations or revolutions than the other(second wheel). Did you observe this...? So I think we prefer wheels having more diameter.

I agree with you until you say "we prefer wheels having more diameter"

If you are riding up a mountain you prefer snmaller wheels , as it costs less newtons smaller wheels to move

I agree but there are a couple other points you should note 1 you can also change the gearing driving the wheel to create the same basic effect and 2 a larger diameter wheel will also roll up and over objects that would cause a smaller wheel would just run into and stop

As a couple of people have mentioned, what size wheels you prefer depends on your application.

If you don't need much force (riding downhill), big wheels/small gears are great because they give you more speed.

If you need more force to go uphill, however, the smaller wheel/bigger gear will keep you moving, albeit more slowly.

Passenger engines usually have bigger wheels for more speed. Freight engines usually have smaller wheels to pull heavier loads.

It's the same with pulleys or any device that gets you mechanical advantage or disadvantage. It's a trade-off; nothing is free.

It's very funny to see some stupid people insutling smart people and calling them stupid :D
It's true that bigger wheel can allow you to move more with smaller number of rotation, but they DO require more power to turn, and yes believe or not when going up the hill it's better to have small wheels on your bike, or you will get so tired and start spitting blood in the first few meters :D
