The Japanese "r" is like a light Spanish 'r' or similar to a very light 'd'. Say the word "butter" very quickly. The "tt" sounds like a light 'd'. Put that sound in frount of the word 'you' only say it a little longer than usual. (The two u's make the vowel sound longer than usual). And "jin" sounds like "jean" 竜神 or 龍神. There's two ways to write dragon in Japanese

It's hard to explain since the Japanese 'r' sounds nothing like the American one. The pronunciation of the word 'due' is probably as close as we have in American English, only you need to tap the 'd' a little farther back in your mouth.

The Japanese "r" is pronounced like the Spanish "r".
In this particular word, you have to say the "ry" sound together. It's not pronounced "ree-yuu". You have to pronounce the "ry" in one syllable (because in Japanese, it is one syllable)

So it's pronounced: ryoo
