I see lots of puppies online, but I don't want to run into any scams. Can anyone direct me on where to look for quality breeders? In Michigan is even better, but not necessary.

I bought my Cody from Mystery Mountain Pets in Oklahoma. Brenda really cares for her dogs. Please don't be sucked into the teacup myth-a 5 pound dog is still a small dog and is much healthier than a 2 pound dog.

Be aware that purchasing a chihuahua or any other dog from a pet store is a bad idea. No reputable breeder would ever sell puppies to a store. There's tons of info available about this online....also, tons of scams. Look into rescue and talk to the rescue group or shelter, and you'll be able to help a dog in need!

Hey, so many people buy those little dogs then,decide they want a
something bigger dog. Please look into The Chihuahua Rescue places. The (Ch,s) are so sweet and loving..people don't know how they suffer when they get abandoned. Don't even think of a pet store,all they want to do is make the $. Save the life of an abandoned pup, or even an older one that is distraught.They are an awsome loving pet,they need a blanket to get under to sleep,so in the bed basket,give her/him more security with a blankey of it's own. x x x x

Best bets are Chihuahua rescue and/or your local animal shelter. My little guy, a chihuahua named Milton, was a rescue dog, he's affectionate, sweet, and would pop before he would disappoint me by going potty in the house. He loves to cuddle up, take me for walks, etc.

Well where you should NOT buy one if from a pet store. Those puppies are from puppy mills and puppy mills are bad. They make mothers breed and breed until they die! Get one from a reputable breeder.

go to AKC.ORG click on Chihuahua click on your state, breeder referrral and start researching/calling reputable breeders,,,,,,,,,
