I have the same problem. I use Biolage Smootherapy and it really works! I tried all other shampoos out there. It makes your hair super shiny and soft. Try it! Also you are thinking of Alberto VO5 hot oil treatment and I'm not a fan. They weigh your hair down. Try this instead once a week: 1 cup of olive oil and 1 egg yold beaten. Mix together and apply to dry areas of your hair. Wrap your hair in plastic for about 20-30 minutes and wash your hair. I would shampoo twice tho. It works. Good luck and try the Biolage Smootherapy... you will not be sorry!

I've used oil treatments before, not hot oil though. It worked okay but the best thing I've found is Garnier Sleek and Shine 3 minute treatment. It says to use it once a week on the package but I use it about every other day.

try using an reconstructing treatment every week to 2 weeks it is just like a really think conditioner that you leave in for about 5 minutes and then rinse out, i use a.g deep conditioner reconstructing treatment and it works really well, also use a heat protector before straightening you can get some at the salon or at the drugstore. after you are done styling you can add a little pinch of shine serum

You should get a box of hot oil treatments from Wal-Mart. They work wonders for your hair!

one way to make your hair smoother, is after thoroughly washing it with shampoo, condition it, but do not rinse it out right away, wait a couple minutes rinse. let your hair dry natural don't use a blow dryer. to make your hair look shiny take an ice cube and rub it on your hair to give it a silky finish.

I have the exact same problem that you do. I deep condition my hair 2x a week.. and if I get up in the morning and my ends are everywhere and looking dry, I use a tiny bit of a pomade or a smoothing cream and smooth the ends. It makes it look sleeker and less dry.. ;)

I see others have answered you and they alll have the right idea..but..why dont you get your hair cut a little bit that really helps..just a trim not a major lop off...and then the conditioners will work better

OK when you are in the tub, put on conditioner, and comb it with a brush while it is wet. Do this when you are taking a shower. Not after a shower, DURING it.

Then buy this HAIRSILK gel for $30 and only put tads on it. You can get it at barber shops like Joseppi&Mimmo.
