Well, LV Pro should give you the max. turbo-charged connectivity, so you must not be allowed a higher speed in your connection-plan. Ask your ISP bout it.

upgrading to PRO wont perform the miricles they try to tell you. you're gonna have to open up ports on your router (i presume you have a broadband internet connection?)
you'll notice that limewire has a little picture of the earth on the bottom right corner if this picture has a brick wall infront of it they its not opened.
to open it:
go - start - run - type"CMD" - type "ipconfig" + hit enter
here you should be able to get the IP address of your router.
it should look something like 192.168.1.256
type that into internent explorer or firefox or whatever and it will bring up your routers page.
depending on your brand of router you may or may not need your username and password for your ISP.
what you need to look for in here is some thing called NAT(s) this is how you open your routers ports.
go back to limewire and go to the options page and look fo where it says what port it communicates on should be about a 5 digit number eg:59267
you need to type this in as the base host port for your NAT. and for the port range always just go 4 digits above it
eg: port range 59267 - 59271
base host port = 59267
save this setting and name it (limewire or something)
then enable it and set your firewall within your router to "low"
then re-start your connection and limewire.
when you re-open limewire the little brick wall infront of the little picture of the world should be gone and your downloads should be faster. if its still there you've done something wrong.
but in fairness there's better programs then limewire especially for music.
soulseek is the best for music in my opinion.
also bearshare
botcomet
azeurues
emule and edonkey
hope this helps, would need to know what router your using in order to give a more specific answer.
:)

It's not always your internet connection that causes slow download speeds but the person you're downloading off they may have restricted their upload speed or they may have a slow or dial up connection so you probably can't speed it up

wow.... what a silly computer user you are...
do you not read any news at all? Limewire is the cause of most virus downloads, plus you can get fined for pirating software.video, movies and music,
the last person I was reading about, last month got fined $75,000
