It depends on how long you plan to stay, what time of the year you are going, and how much you want to spend. The Belliago is a little expensive. The Luxor, Flamingo, Bally's, and Stratosphere have some pretty good mid week rates. You might want to look into one of them. Or even try something like the Extended Stay hotels, Holiday Inn, or Embassy Suites.

It depends on how long you're going to stay. Bellagio is one of the more expensive hotels on the strip so be prepared to pay quite a bit.
If you would like a cheaper stay I would suggest:
Monte Carlo
Golden Nugget
The Paris
New York, New York
Barbary Coast
Harrah's.

Define long stay: a week? A month? Six months? Unless you have more money than God, I don't recommend staying at Bellagio longer than a week. (Average room price is $399 a night plus tax.)
Longer than three months, I'd advise renting an apartment - many have short term leases.
