i dont think it can be changed the code is in the computer the code is printed in the trunk on older ones on the computer on others or can be read with a scan tool on newer ones if the car is 2000 or newer the dealer may be abble to reprogram it with a scan tool its not the cheep 300 doller one you can pick up its the $2000 one the dealer has
