Is it better to have sex a few days before ovulating or when ovulating to get get preg?

It couldn't hurt to do both, and it's not like it won't be fun ;)
But on a serious note, well I don't know true it is but somewhere I read that you can better plan on what sex the baby you want by choosing the date to have sex on. They say that girl sperms are stronger but slower swimmers so if you want a girl a day or so before you ovulate. They say that boy sperm are weaker but faster swimmers so sex on the day of ovulation would be better. There is a website but I don't remember anymore. Hope this helps.

I was told by my doctor to start having sex on the 11th , 12th, 13th , and 14th day so you have a better chance in getting pregant since you only have 36 hours for your eggs to pass! And the male sperm lasts up to 5 days. So to be on the safe side that is what i would do!

if you want to get preg and have a 28 day cycle... you mostlikely ovulate about 14 days after the first day of your period.. then you are 'fertile' for about 36 hours.. either way gl
