overstayed????

Question

If i would be an overstayed foreigner in CHina what will be the punishment??.,Are they going to kill me after surrendering??

Im an asian from Philippines.,..,Its just embassy and immigration are very far from my place.,so have to travel two days in a row before i reach the certain area.,..,Just give me the exact punishements.,.,thanks for some info

A fine of Rmb 500 per day for first 4 days and Rmb 1000 thereafter for each day,and no visa for next 3 years.

You will not be killed. However, you can be fined up to 50rmb per day that you overstay. Also from what i read on the net, they are tolerant here. If you stay only a few days and give a good reason why, than you will probably be home free. Yu should give yourself a lot of extra time when you make your flight arrangements because you will be held up in the debarkation process. You will have to give a report to the police as to why you could not leave the prc timely.
So do not concern yourself about brutal punishment as this just will not happen. China is as you most likely found out a Civalized Country.

depends on the reason youre there. and what country your from i suppose. but i doubt the penalty is death. and i dont know why you would have to "surrender"?
