I agree that Gore is a hypocrite and further that he might run in 08, but I doubt he can win the nomination at this point. He is at best an also ran and I think the Democrats will be looking for someone who will be seen as strong candidate. Al just doesn't fit the bill anymore. When he ran in 2000 most people were not aware of how much of a fanatical environmentalist he really is. Now there is absolutely no question of this fact. It could provide some interesting comic amusement though if he does run, we need another Howard Dean to add some levity to what pomises to be a very nasty race on the Democrat side.

"You know he will"? What kind of nonsense is that? I'm a Dem and I highly doubt he's planning on running. Since everyone else that is running has pretty much declared and begun the process, Gore would be at a disadvantage in terms of campaign infrastructure and general fundraising. He hasn't even taken the first steps toward building a campaign, and despite what some believe, he isn't very popular AS A CANDIDATE amongst Democratic primary voters.

But as for his line of work, I'll agree that maybe global warming isn't totally caused by humans, but how is it a bad thing that at least someone is showing that they care about the future of the planet? Its just sad that so many people have fallen for the right-wing narrative, which was motivated by the potential decrease in profits for big business and the oil industry in particular.
