It never really dawned on me to what extent this is the case, until I started reading some of the questions on this site! There’s like a dozen girls a day asking about "how can I get a bra that won’t show under my halter" or "where can I get a bra that won't show w/ my backless prom dress" or "my daughter won't wear a bra, WHAT WILL I DO?"

Seriously, why don't you ladies just not wear one if it's not convenient? I mean, yes I understand that day-to-day, they provide support so that “the girls” don’t get saggy. But what is the extreme concern for wearing one in every situation, at all times, about? They look pretty uncomfortable to me.

A lot of girls don't have the option to go braless. C cups and above usually experience discomfort and sometimes even pain when they go without a bra for an extended period of time. Plus if you have 2 different sized boobs (which many women do) it is very obvious when you are not wearing a bra. Yes, they are pretty uncomfortable, but unfortunately I don't have a choice!

Kudos to you for trying to figure out girls. Most guys don't care at all.

I wish we could just say lets not wear them all together, but reality is we have to for numerous reasons. 1. As you stated so we don't get saggy. 2. If we get cold we will not be embarrassed. 3. if we need to run/jog/walk fast or are exercising they do not move so much (which kind of hurts).
Also, it looks very unpleasing to see someone's bra strap hanging our, or being seen through our shirts, and that is a few of the many reasons why we are so concerned with what kind of bra to wear.

If you have the right bra its not uncomfortable, I love wearing them. I have one for every situation. Not only are they good for the support but also its embarrassing if you get cold and you have people starring at you (get the picture). They make the clothes fit better.

nipples showing to everyone... apparently is indecent. but obviously its unprofessional. if you're at work you have to wear one. I only don't wear a bra in private. I like a fun bra, comfortable flattering and cute. something that has straps that aren't ugly in case they do show. If i go without a bra, it won't be for very long and it'll be with layers.

Why bother wearing one? I've never said "Ooh, look at her bra!" but I personally like it when I see women without bras. I think some women worry too much about them.

Its mostly about support.

Plus there are very few dress/occassions that won't allow for a bra.

At all other times a lack of undergarments is just tasteless.

But try talkin to a chick after a full day of not wearing a bra, she'll be cranky!........

Bras are not about conveinience. It's a girl thing. It's not an obsession, it is about looking good and not wearing the wrong bra. My suggestion to you is to get some female friends or ask your mother this question.

got me. I don't wear one unless I'm planning on showing it to someone. but then I'm not that big in front, so it doesn't matter so much support-wise. Probably 'cause most girls aren't very comfortable with their bodies, and they think it shows off too much or something.

Although feminists see that as a "tool of male oppression" they wear them to make their bust more noticeable to men. I find that extremely ironic.

Personally, they can wear what they want. I'd rather them be comfortable that here for my amusement.
