No.

It's possible to have either type as cold sores or as genital herpes. Cold sores are typically herpes simplex virus 1, while genital herpes is typically herpes simplex virus 2. I say typically though, because both herpes simplex virus 1 & 2 can cause both cold sores and genital herpes.

Herpes simplex virus 1 (HSV1) can SPREAD to genital herpes (which is usually HSV2) but it doesn't "evolve" into HSV2, and vice versa. Herpes is usually spread this way by oral sex. If someone with cold sores (HSV1) gives someone oral sex, it is possible for that person to develop genital herpes caused by HSV1. Also, if a person has genital herpes (HSV2) and someone gives them oral sex it is possible for that person to develop cold sores (caused by HSV2).

I personally have genital herpes cause by herpes simplex virus 1. Even though HSV1 is usually cold sores, I have it as genital herpes. I have never had a cold sore in my life, but I have had genital herpes outbreaks.

Yes, there isn't any. Herpes is caused by a virus. Actually, there is little cure for viruses nowadays. The only thing that you can generally do in the case of a viral infection is strengthen the immune system and hope it fights it off. Not with Herpes, the immune system can't win against it. Thus you only get to treat the symptoms. Once you're infected, it stays with you for life. So don't get infected.

Personal experience. I have had genital herpes for over 5 years.

I got clinically diagnosed with herpes simplex virus (type 2) about 3 yrs ago, whilst I was still attending college and had a foolish one-night stand. I understand loads of young women say this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a mistake that one time and suddenly I felt like I was going to have to live with the implications for my entire life. The hardest part was feeling I could never date men again. After all, who wants to go out with a girl who has sores round her "you know what" area? But since a friend shared this movie https://tr.im/J8o1I everything changed.

Not only was I able to remove all remnants of the herpes simplex virus from my system in less than 3 weeks, but I was also able to begin dating again. I even met the guy of my dreams and I'm so fortunate to write that just a week ago, in front of everyone in a busy restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me! This system gave me back the chance to be happy and experience true love again. Now I want to help others by sharing this story.

Evolve - possible, given the right selection pressures, but ridiculously unlikely. See the answers above mine.

HSV-1 can infect both the oral and genital regions, causing cold sores and genital herpes (respectively). Likewise, HSV-2 can infect both the oral and genital regions and cause the same lesions. Not sure if this is what you meant. When cross-infection occurs it isn't due to any evolutionary change in the viral genome; the viruses are very closely related and each have the machinery to infect both locations.

This is like asking if white Europeans can evolve and become like African blacks.

It's possible, but not very likely.

You need environmental conditions which select mutated individuals in this direction. And even then such a change may take a long time to happen.

But if there are no selective environmental pressures which drive evolution in this direction, then such a change is extremely unlikely.
