i tried recording on a maxell dvd-rw and it said the disc was invalid.. i have no idea what to do help pleasee

its on my DVD player by the way.. but i'll go check and see if it's compatible..

make sure your drive is a dvd-r drive and not at dvd+r drive. that's probably the case, then you would need dvd+rw discs

first of all, do you have a dvd rom or dvd rw? Check it. Second of all,check your disk type and whether it allows a dvd-rw to write on it. Third of all, check the disk incase it has been alreayd written and its not rewritable. Fourth of all, are you using the write software to burn your dvd? Fifth of all, if this doesnt help, im sorry lol

Hi. A DVD-RW is re-writable. You can try to erase any info on it (if there is any) but if the disk is new then it may just not be compatible. Try a different brand.

you must use a compatible dvd-rw fromat - check the door of your dvd-rw drive and look for a plus(+) or minus (-) format then use the correspoding disc as your recording media
