As a rule I don't think it's ever wise to rely on one click solutions to pc problems; always create a system restore point before you start tweaking your pc or deleting stuff.

Hello. This may not help much, but here goes: You could go to www.pcpitstop.com and do a free check on your system. It uses an ActiveX so you'll have to ok it to run, then when done it'll tell you things to help you out. Other than that, I'd go to either www.download.com or www.webattack.com and look for benchmark utilities. Try to find the freeware apps as so many are trials which in my mind make little sense if you don't want to buy it. Good luck.

Click on Start>Run> type in scandisk /f > hit enter. It will check you disk for errors. If that is not all you need you can try a registry cleaner. There are many free ones out there. Just do a search for them.

All depends on what kinds of errors. I dont use Norton, i dont like how to bogs down my resources, to scan my hard drive for errors i just right click C drive properties and run the scandisk tool.
