The only way you are going to find out for sure is to ask the person involved and also if you are still unsure ask for divorce papers

Go to your local courthouse and ask there. I dont really feel that there is a free way of doing this but i am not sure. Why are you wanting to find this out anyways? Are you seeing a married person?

If you're worried about committing bigamy why don't you just divorce her yourself. If you're living in the UK I have no idea how you'd track your ex in the U.S. Sorry.
