like i had it once and it really messed up my computer
but my friends dad fixed it for free
but it took a long time

I have limewire on my computer and have had no problems. As long as your anti-virus/anti-spyware software are up to date and functioning properly the only problem you might experience is slower speed due to the downloading. Just be careful and remember that limewire is for the sharing of legal programs ;)

No. Limewire is a file-sharing program. VERY VERY little that is shared on the network is legal. There's also a lot of viruses on the Limewire network, which is what messed up the computer in the first place.

Basically, what you are asking is the equivalent of asking if you should jump off a building again, even though last time you broke both legs. The first time should be the learning experience. The second time is just plain dumb.

Get DC++ instead. It's way better and you actually have an idea of what you're downloading, as opposed to Limewire, where you have to guess at what you're downloading.

It's not limewire that screws up people's computers. it's what you're downloading.
