alot of video strores, or gameshops now offer disc repair at a low price (usually $3), but if it's sensitve information eg. porn, burnt software, alien autops photo's....you may just want to buy a DVD/CD scratch removal kit for around $20, DR. CD is a good brand. or CD wizard.
