If I were you, I'd stick with XP for a little while longer. So many people have complained on Vista it just has way too many problems.
I don't like upgrading to new versions right away, I'd rather wait a little while and see what complains are there for the program/software and at the end if it's not worth it I'd stick to same version that I have it causes less problems that way!!

U can pretty much JO with Vista!!! :) kidding bro.

Well ... U have to "DO" very less in Vista because its already been "Done" alot by Microsoft.

They have made lot of things easier for you comparing to XP and Linux. All U have to do is Click Click and Click...
So to refresh your Question

What Are the things that I don't have to DO when comparing to Linux and XP.?

Vista Ultimate - I like the new looks on graphical display AERO system the aero glass effect (though it eats a lot of resources esp. V-RAM), UAC, DX10 for Gaming system and a cool looking backgrounds.

WinXP - about XP from, Recovery Console, Restore, Back-up support, Firewall and Remote Access, Hardware support features etc.

Linux - Still for me it's no. 1, though limited support for games its not D3D system, Virus free OS, Freeze Free no problem, UAC(user account control), its not proprietary OS, cool background also, reliability, affordability, nothing compare with the Mozilla Web Browser the very fast browser. Free Office Application, with 32-bit and 64-bit support computing and etc.

So its ur turn. Hehehe

Simply nothing. Vista is nothing but an XP with better Look & Feel.

Nothing important, all essential functions have been covered by xp. The better you make something, the harder it is to improve it.
