G'day,

Bond Uni is one of (only) 3 private universities in Australia. It is well-known for the law course. It has 3 semester intakes (instead of the conventional 2 semester intakes in most uni), which allow students to finish what normally 3 years course to only 2 years. It is located in Gold Coast, one of the favourite tourist spot in Australia. Very warm climate. The qualification and recognition is the same as any other Australian universities.

American women are treated equally the same with any other people in Australia. Australians has been visited and accepted so many visitors from Europe and America, there's no problem at all.

If you have done some university studies in US, you may be able to transfer some of the subjects that you have successfully completed. What you need to do is to apply and attach certified copy of your university transcript and course syllabus.

Hope this helps. Good luck for your study and hope to see you in Australia.

I'm actually studying abroad at bond right now and its a good school not as many aussies as youd think, i was surprised cause half the school is foreign exchange students. the school is pretty much 3 months of spring break. theres parties and pub crawls every week sponsored by the school. its pretty crazy nothing like my school back home. but its pretty fun here and the areas great tons of stuff to do. and actually when you travel away from queensland to the other states and territories, ive found that some aussies have never even heard of bond. but thats because its such a small school only 2000 students with half being foreigners. but its also a private school so thats why its alot smaller, but it has a beautiful campus. hope this helps

A friend of mine attented Bond, and now works there, so if you are worried about anything I can get her to email you and talk things through. She moved interstate and as far as I know, didn't know anyone when she started there, so she can let you know what it's like starting out there. Also I am sure that she can go over things like accomdation ect. If you want her to email you please just give me your email address and I will pass it onto her straight away. (Just email it to me, you can do that through my profile)
