At the bottom of the screen it says, A newer version is available-click here>>. When i click on it windows media player comes on and it says, Windows Media Player cannot play the file. One or more codecs required to play the file could not be found.

It sounds like its trying to open a file that isn't a Media File. Try going to the MP3 Rocket website to download the update.

you need this software if you can't open files (like mp4, divx and much more), play videos or if you see a missing codec message. This is a very useful software that will solve all your codec issues
