If I perform a Windows XP repair installation or upgrade installation will my slave drives still be recognizable logical drives after the install? This is very crucial for me to know because I intend to perform a Windows XP upgrade installation to "repair" my damaged Windows OS. Before I do so I would like the comfort of knowing that if I do so my two slave drives will still be recognizable (and all data on the slave drives still present) after the install.

When you insert the windows disk it will automatically show all windows partitions on the computer. You choose which partition you want to install it on. It will not affect the data on other partitions, however if you have applications on those other partitions you will probably have to reinstall them, but that may not be necessary with an upgrade. I always do a clean install to prevent problems with the patch process.

If you perform a repair install, it will just reinstall Windows on top of what you already have installed. You will not lose any info and any drives you have WILL be recognized.

Yeah, it will all be retainable, and won't all be deleted. Windows XP recognises everything.
