I recommend Acronis True Image 10.0 - easy to use and understand for someone new to making image backups of the entire hard drive - if you buy the boxed version the included cd-rom is bootable so you can boot your system and do a restore if your operating system is down. Check out amazon or any site where you shop for software.

Acronis True Image is excellent.

I use it to clone my hard drive, once a week. That way, the most data I can loose in the event of a disk failure/crash etc is 7 days worth.

You'll need a second hard drive, of course. It doesn't have to be exactly the same size or make as the original. Acronis can do a proportionally sized clone job, as long as there is enough space on the second drive.

I'm still using v8.0. Perfectly good for my requirements.

Hi,
Sounds like you need Norton's "Ghost" or Nero version 7 as both programs will do this for you. Hope this helps.
