how do i boot a windows nt computer through a windows 98 boot floppy and then install the 98 CD?

Windows NT uses a different file format than Windows 98, so you cannot install it after NT without formatting the hard drive. If you set your BIOS correctly, you can boot directly from the CD.

Make sure that the floppy drive is listed in the bios as a boot device then insert the floppy and reboot. Choose to start with CD support then run setup from the CD. Alternatively, if you get into bios, you may be able to set the CD drive up as bootable so you won't have to bother with the floppy, as the previous answerer said.
