Trout fishing - Tasmania or the Snowy Mountains in NSW. Don't go December to February to avoid the heat. Barramundi fishing - Darwin and the Gulf of Carpentaria. May to September are cooler and dry. Sea fishing - pick a coast or an estuary. Avoid the summer months December to February. Lake, dam and river fishing, same deal.

" Fabulous Coffs Harbour. It has its own subtropical microclimate and it's never too hot here, never too cold.

I don't know what you call "too hot" and "too cold" but Coffs has recorded a maximum of 43.3°C in January and a minimum of -3.2°C in July.

Avoid the summer months if you want to miss the very hot weather.

Australia's east in awesome, I'm half Aussie and a Sydneysider. All I can say is avoid the summer time. Spring and Fall season are cooler. Also, Tasmania, the southern most state is the coolest part of Australia, climate-wise. Tasmania has temperate, mediterrenean like cooler climate.

Good fishing and moderate climate in the gulf of Spencer- Alot of jetty fishing available, as well as boat rentals. When it is hot, it is dry heat mostly, and is quite comfortable 90% of time

Fabulous Coffs Harbour. It has its own subtropical microclimate and it's never too hot here, never too cold. Plenty of great deep sea and river fishing and you can collect your own shellfish easily too. Have fun!
