"North American Union?" don't count on it.

The safe third country agreement, which you may be referring to, only applies to those who 'legitimately' apply for refugee status upon attempting to cross the US/Canadian border. Illegal immigrants are still entering the United States and Canada, through illegitimate/undocumented means. The illegal immigration problem is far from being solved.

Sorry, I don't buy this North American Union thing. Bush and his branch of the Republican party don't like the "liberal Europeans", so I can only assume they don't like the E.U. Why would Bush want to become like the E.U.?

It won't happen. Bush is too stubborn.

And Arnold is from Austria, which is not found in North America.

I would like to know where you saw "NORTH AMERICAN UNION" in the following words: "Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America (SPP)"?

The purpose of this partnership is for trade and Security purposes ONLY. I cannot see in any document where the entire North American Continent becomes one nation. I can not see the American people allowing this to happen. As a Matter of Fact, I do not believe the people of Canada want to belong to a union with us either. Most Canadians have common sense and would not allow their government to merge with ours.
Although I live in CA, I can not speak for the Mexicans, I have never crossed that border.
