drink more, then you'll pass out.
only half-drunk people do stupid things.
when you're REALLY drunk, you don't move.

Seriously?
Always remind yourself when you are drinking that you will sober up. There is always tomorrow.
When you are drinking, silently think to yourself that tomorrow you'll still have to face your family, friends, and co-workers and account for everything you say and do. Being drunk is no excuse for being stupid. Everything you do still hurts you and others, embarrasses you and others, and doesn't go away.
I used to do stupid things until I put these guidelines into practice. Now I just drink and have a good time. I let other people be stupid.
If you handle your alcohol, don't drink.

I learned how to do this when I was in college. I always was drinking with them and they'd start doing stupid stuff, so I became the drunk babysitter. I was the one who even though was buzzed really well had enough sense to say "Walk straight, there's a cop coming up the road" or "Let's get out of here right now!" You just have to keep most of your head about you, aware of surroundings and still keep using your brain to say "I don't want to embarrass myself." When I get a little blitzed at family functions, I check myself before I spit out something totally stupid. "Will this sound OK to me in the morning? No? Then don't say it!" says my brain.

well, since you don't want to stop drinking....you need to put an ad in the paper for a 'voice of reason' this person and also be a close friend of yours...and this persons job is to stop you from doing anything stupid for example...you're drunk and standing on the a table singing a Journey song at that top of your lungs....this person will tell you it's not a good idea....and that they are the 'voice of reason' and then you will know to stop your wild drunken shenanigans....or they might join you....depending on how drunk they are

Sorry. With the Jeckyl and Hyde drunk the only answer is "don't drink". Sober you CANT control what drunk you does and drunk you doesn't want to. Don't shrug this off. It can ruin your whole life. Talk to someone in AA to get a better perspective. Good luck.

I had that problem too. Lots of times. The only cure I ever found was not to drink in excess. Sorry, I know that's not what you wanted to hear, but.......such is life. Some things are just basic truisms.

Well, you don't need to abstain completely, just cut yourself off after a couple. In my experience, there's nothing enjoyable about being drunk, and a lot to enjoy about just one or two good drinks.

Guess it or not, if you really don't want to do those things, you shouldn't drink that much.
Anyway, I suggest you to get a valid friend with you in those moments...one that doesn't drink or drink less than you ;)

I think it's so gaddamn lame when someone says "i couldn't help it, I was drunk!" That's called: take responsibility for your actions and learn your limit.
Being drunk is not a valid excuse and if it is always yours, then you my friend, have a drinking problem. Seek counselling.
