If there are two plates which screw in on the bottom of your laptop you should be able to do it. The smaller of the two will be the cover over the memory. If you have an empty slot there then your new memory should just plug in. If you don't have an empty slot then you need to see if the old memory is slotted in or hardwired in. If it's slotted, remove it and replace it with the new card.

It's easy. If you have an extra slot just wiggle it in carefully. If you have only one, of course take the 128 card out first. Just make sure the slots match properly. Take your time.

Extremely easy, usually one screw. Go for it!
You can only put the memory in the correct way due to safeguards so that's good.
When you put the memory in, make you work it up and down a few times to make sure it has a good clean connection. I've found this eliminates half the problems.

It should be possible for you to do it, if you have the manual it will probably tell you how to do it. If you don't have it or it doesn't say, go to Dell's website and see if they have the manuals online. Look for the service manual if possible.

you can do it your self if you know what you are doing. I would recommend taking it to a service center though. HOPE THIS HELPS!!! :-D
