i couldn't find it in the trunk and i do not have the owners manual

The keyless entry system on a 1999 Taurus is controlled by the RAP (remote anti-theft personality) module. This module is located under the instrument panel to the left of the brake pedal. There are connectors that connect to it. On the module will be a label with the part number SIMILAR to XF1T-15K602-A1A. Beside the part number will be FIVE numbers. Those five numbers are the five digit keypad code. Note: On ALL Ford products equipped with the keyless entry keypad, pressing the 7/8 and 9/0 keys simultaneously will lock ALL doors.

I believe that the information is listed in the owner's manual. I think that the default code is listed in the trunk area of the car.

I had a 00 taurus. I had the same problem they said if i didnt have the factory # then they would have to take off my door to look at it. Lets just say i never did that.
