im trying to get xp back but i cant format my drive to get vista off how do i do this

did you make a boot disk? if not try using the winxp disk to boot up. setup your boot so that cd/dvd rom would boot up first then boot from the winxp disk then just follow the instruction to format drive.

You're going to have to format. You can't just "uninstall" an Operating System. You can install XP onto a different partition and always just boot to that, but that will leave your hard drive very cluttered.

Put XP in the cd drive, restart computer and have it boot from cd...then just format using the xp boot disk.

Put the windows xp cd in and install windows again!!!

Pour petrol over your computer and ignite it. Once you've installed vista you've had it
