If it's your first time plugging it in, there will most likely be an icon that pops into the lower right hand corner of your screen that says New Hardware Found. Once the drivers are finished installing (you don't have to do anything; it's automatic), it should say something like, your device is ready to use.
A new drive should appear in My Computer. Just double-click it and you'll be looking "into" your USB drive. Copy your document from wherever it's saved (Ctrl-C) and paste (Ctrl-V) your document into the USB drive.

Right click on the file you want to save and click on send to. The usb drive will be on the bottom of the menu just click on that and your done.

you open my computer, and it will be called either usb storage, or mass storage device. you click to open like a normal drive and copy the file to it or from the save menu in the program select the drive as the save destination.

there should be new drive letter on your "My Computer".
example: your HDD is C and D, your CD-Rom is E, then there would be new letter 'F' and wrote kingston or pendrive and you can open (just like HDD) and paste it there or save it there.
