I have heard that there are a few legitimat opportunities, but be careful, the vast majority of them insist that you buy endless kits and are intended to take you money. There are also several ponzi schemes out there (where the only way people make money is to recruit an endless supply of new subordinates. Be very careful and do some research online. The best advice is to steer clear of any supposed opportunity that requires up-front money. They are ALWAYS a scam.

Also, there are several programs available for single mothers that allow for special aid (government mandated). Hopefully this will help you.

Well, don't get desperate and work for a MLM like Mary Kay or Avon. I got into both of them. You could open up a day care depending on the severity of your children's needs. I've heard a lot of people selling on ebay and making bank, but I haven't had THAT much luck with it. The first thing you need to do is make a list of your interests. After you do that, you might be able to narrow down what you can do.

I dont know about jobs and I am not sure where you live, but you should look for a cheaper apartment. You also might be eligible for section 8 with a lower income and two kids. I would get ahold of the housing development program in your city and see if they will be able to help you out. Good luck.
