The gas company should be able to work out a payment plan.
We run our house at 55 F so we don't have $289 gas bills.

Some people I know pay what they can in the winter when it's so high and then catch up in the warmer months. Call the gas company to work out a plan with them.

My house is electric, but in the winter my light bill is over $300, summer over $500, so I work a job where I can afford to cover my bills. Try going back to school, some college maybe

A business is not legally obligated to accept cash, but this business actually made a specific offer to you: pay in cash and get a discount. To me, they were contractually bound to take your dollars once you pumped the gas. If they refuse, they should charge you the cash price on your credit card.

I don't know,
But this is RIDICULOUS!!!
These outrageous prices for gas, food and everything else is rising! Funny thing is that the wages are not rising to keep up with this non-sense!
I hope you find a good answer to this! Good luck
P.s, if you find a good answer let me know
