As a Democrat, I will let u know 1st hand that I am elated with our potential runners. But I am also worried. I don't think our Baby Boomers and WWII vets are ready 2 vote for a Black man or a White woman, 4that matter. What scares me is Rudy Giuliani. He's the biggest thing on the Republican ticket right now and may have a good chance @ winning. He sucked as Mayor of NYC. How is he going 2balance the budget when he screwed up NY's economy by squandering taxes on 2 new stadiums where no 1 plays? How is he going 2negotiate and make peace internationally, when he couldn't even make peace between race relations(and made NO ATTEMPT to) in NY? All you guys see is what the media showed you:take it from a NYk'r-sure he lowered crime, at the expense of police brutality and uneccessary deadly force(remember Amadou Diallo?). And what did he do on 9/11? He walked across the Brooklyn Bridge-u had to. There was no traffic allowed into the city and the MTA shut down.
Still wanna vote for Rudy?

@ tim klein : As much as I still have a bad taste for Giuliani, I did not disrespect him or anyone who liked him. I just stated my opinion on how I felt he did when he was in office, and how that correlates to how he may do in the Executive branch. @ thewilds01: I did not appreciate being called an idiot and I don't know how you can't see how he had something to do with the Diallo cops being as brutal as they were-with him approving and enforcing the racial profiling "Street Crime Unit" in the Bronx and then giving his commissioner the go-ahead to try and dig up dirt on innocent Diallo less than 24 hours after his murder just to make those cops look like they did something right. How dare you suggest because I'm Black I've got some Giuliani conspiracy theory going on. Diallo could have been a White man-shooting an unarmed HUMAN 41 times is just WRONG! No conspiracy theory there. I didn't say Giuliani didn't do anything right-but he did tick me off with a couple of his antics...

First of all I am an independent and to be honest I don't like any of the candidates. As far as making peace with race relations in New York I am not sure if anyone can. Rudy"s biggest flaw though is his lack experience in international affairs. So no I will probably not vote for Rudy. So to get my vote Republicans better come up with someone better then him.

First off get you facts straight. He cleaned up NYC by getting all of the sex shops that were on every half corner out of the city. Also, he did not cross the Brooklyn Bridge but stay in the city to run it. As a matter of fact, he was at the Command Center 90 seconds before the towers fell. He was trapped underground for a time also. What two stadiums are you talking about? Also, how are you supposed to make peace with race relations when your predecessor made "whitey" the devil and Reverend Al Sharpton would not help either? I feel that Rudy Giuliani is the best candidate not because Obama is black and Hilary is a woman but because he has experience that Obama does not have and respect that Hilary will never have. Also, as a "New Yorker" maybe you should know how to spell the man's name right.

Actually, Rudy is not as popular as you may believe. I was for the idea of him running until I found out he may have been involved with the attacks of 9/11.
I don't like Hillary because of her past with the Whitewater scandle and she had no straight answers; I know she's in an abusive marriage and I rather not see this conflict be taken back into the White House.
Barack is okay, but way too inexperienced for many folks and I do not feel he will make it past the primaries. His strongest suit for many Americans is that he is against the war...but his wagging tongue is going to be his political demise.
I do not trust John Edwards because he was in Afganistan 2 weeks before 9/11 and never revealed WHY he was there. Seeing him combing his hair to attend to his looks was completely unimpressive.
On the Republican side othere than Gulliani, whom I've learned not to trust, is Romney who has already slit his own throat with me. He took campaign money from a major drug company, Merck, and in exchange promoted and passed leglisation to make mandatory in Texes, the HPV vaccine. The testing was not complete, the studies were not finished and the Merck is laughing up their sleeves with profits coming out of the walls at $360 per injection. There are also reports that many hundreds of women and young girls as young as 8 who are being forced to receive this vaccine are experiencing several adverse side affects including but not limited to temporary blindness, bladder infections, lapes in menstral activity without reason and other things. So he is OUT of the running for my vote.
Senator McCain may be a hopeful, but when I saw him at the Senate hearings he is really not the man for the job either. He had NO diplomacy, he's a crank and someone like him in the White House would not fare well. As for anyone who shows up and decides to run is yet to be seen at this point. I would love to see Colin Powell, but where is he??? Now would be the time for him to step up to the plate and he would have my vote in a heartbeat.

the great aspect about them commencing to marketing campaign this some distance out from the election is there is the opportunity of more beneficial advantageous applicants coming alongside. the great aspect about Hillary campaigning now and Congress being managed through the Liberals we would have Clinton and Liberal fatigue and could be in a position to get again on a wise route for the country. The Clinton lies will be delivered up through both aspect and that i can not see why we would want a President that takes money from the chinese as marketing campaign contributions again.

Rudy Guliani is a great candidate and is the Republicans last hope. He should bring voters trust back from the North East, a political sphere where the Republicans are hopeless.

I am worried that there a lot of unintelligent people who will vote for Giuliani for the wrong reasons. I feel a lot of moderates would choose him over Obama, Clinton, Edwards, Mccain, whoever and ultimately sway the election into the wrong direction (again)

I am a Democrat too. I am thrilled with the Dem candidates. Of the GOP candidates, at least Rudy supports Choice and Gay Rights (for now anyway. We'll see what happens when he starts pandering to the "Christian Right").
