I'm a Houston native so I'll be pulling for my 'Stros. If they do win, I'll probably die of shock. I'm going with the Cards beating the Sox of Red 4-2. Don't count out Minnestoa. They are my dark horse.

I'll go with the Yankees. Their offense is is juggernaut (how many lineups have a guy batting .340 in the 9-hole?), defense isn't too shabby (A-Rod likely to rebound, 3 former Gold Glovers, Jeter, Minky, and Abreu, and 5 - if you count Moose and A-Rod), solid pitching (Mussina is consistent, Pettitte was on fire in the 2nd half, Wang won 19 , and Clemens?), and, now, solid farm system in case of injuries or slumps (Hughes would be great). Cardinals and Tigers might not even win their divisions or wild cards (Cubs and Twins are looking good, and many experts are predicting breakouts from the Brewers and Indians). Even the Cubs have their problems (Wood as closer? A middle infield of DeRosa and Izturis). I think the Yanks are in the best shape now. Still that's what everyone said last year and look what happened. Maybe the Royals will take the A.L. Central this year!

i will say i am a cubs fan. I like what there doing going out and getting a vetran coach, and probably one of the best guys in the league, alfonso soriano, but when it comes down two it, it think you gotta go with the yankees. I dont care how much you hate them, they will probalby always have one of the greates batting lineups in baseball. Sure they have not won it in a awhile, but if you follow baseball eneough you would know that they yankees like big name people. That is why i think this year they will be a contender. They will go out and spend the big bucks as usual get a solid top notch pitcher. If you ask me thats all that they need. They have the big bats and probably the best closer in the game, and a couple of solid pitchers, but i think there missing an mvp like starting pitcher. I dont think it will matter if he is young or old because there is enough vetrans in the yankees system to teech him the ropes.

If the Phillies dump the sluppin bat of Pat Burrell and the old arm of Jon Leiber then they will be victorious in the race for the World Series. Just don't hate because we have Ryan Howard and Chase Utley along with the human rag doll, Aaron Rowand.

The Yankees will win it all this year. Forget the Cardinals, last year was a fluke. The Cubs will have a decent season but the Phillies will win the NL pennant. The Tigers will lose to the Yankees in the ALCS.

I'm a padre fan so I'm pulling for them. Last year They did not have the worst division the had one of the best. The NL Central was the worst. Padres bring the best starting rotation in baseball and best pitching staff in baseball. Offensively i believe once again they will struggle a little. If termal Sledge, Cameron, Giles, and Kouzmanhoff play to their capabilities they will go all the way

Mets. Why??????????? NL will throw out Phils who wont be any better than last year, Atlanta who is still trying to get back on track . The NL WEST....suckiest division in baseball so not worth mentioning. cardinals???? 84 85 wins wont even get them a division title this year. In the AL the A's(MY squad) will do just enough to get in post season again Yanks,Sox and Jays will be 2 tired from slugging it out all year with one another. Indians and Sox will look like division winners if they were in the NL west.

I think and I know Detroit will win it all. I mean they bring back pretty much every budy from last year (which got them to tha world series) and plus they added the big bat they needed in gary shefield.
