I'm 12 and I have had guys aged 19 and over come up to me and ask me out BUT why can't I get a guy my age to like me? has anyone else had this problem?

b/c guys r pricks. give it time. a guy ur age will start 2 like u after a while. ur not 2 young 2 date. take a girls advice.

You don't have boy problems. You have man problems. Where are you that these older guys are hitting on you? Where are your parents? You are just a little girl and these guys 19 and older are perverts. Stay away from them, hang out with kids your own age, and you'll get boys your own age coming around soon enough.
And the next time one of these older guys asks you out, stand back, tell the creep that you're only 12, and that you're telling your parents. And get the heck away from them! And don't go places where these older guys hang out.

Be patient and wait!cause it can take a while. The boy with your similar age will come, just stay away from older guys because they will only take advantage of you and want you for sex. Hang around people the same age as you. Good luck! remember find someone at the same level of experience as you.

you are more mature than the boys your age. just give them time and they will come around. with you being 12 it could only lead to trouble with a 19 year old. My daughter was very mature for her age and always wanted to go out with the older boys but as time went on she found out that the older boys was trouble. give the boys your age or a year older than you time to catch up.

YEP!! I had more guys all over my when I was 13 than now at 26. Guys mature really really really slow!! I always dated older guys, much older. So much older that my dad may have tried to put a few in jail. My advice is don't let those PREVERTS get to you. I admit I did and they really screwed up my life. I guess all you can realy do is wait. Your olny 12, in a year or two there will be lots of guys in Highschool standing in line for you. 12 year old guys don't understand woman. Please just wait, your all you need right now.

I'd confront him and tell him to take a chill pill and get over himself. You only messgaed him once wondering what was up, from what I read in the story, so he doesn't need to freak out and think you're stalking him or anything. I think he just doesn't know how to act with girls honestly after reading his reaction. That either he prefers to flirt than get into a steady relationship right now or he just has no way to deal with our gender. Then again girls do mature faster than men do so maybe he's just far behidn in the maturity scale. You did nothing wrong hun.

I've had that problem, I'm older now and guys of all ages ask me out. Guys your age are immature and not worth datin' jus stay single until u get older. trust me it's better being single, u can talk to any guy whenever. plus guys your age can't do anything 4 u, jus have fun and b patient

12 year old boys generally couldn't find their butt with two hands and a flashlight.
Stay away from the 19 yo's. They want what you shouldn't even consider.

its jus cause they see you being so young and guys who are that old only want one thing which is sex. guys your age aren't mature enough to realize some of the qualites you have to offer but its only a matter of time. you just need to wait and trust me that person will come to you. they always do!!!

Wow that's a big difference.
You might act and look older then your age but, you just need to talk to guys your own age.
