That sounds like a good drill for meeting the pass. Just keep reminding them to meet the pass in every situation.

A drill I liked to do was where you have the team stand in a circle, with everyone taking a turn in the middle of the circle. The person in the middle passes the ball to each teammate in the circle as quickly (and crisply) as they can. Really helps improve catching reflexes.

OK a great and simple drill is called the Weave. Its hard to explain online so you should google it to find out how to do that drill. A variation on the Weave is the Tight Weave. This is liek the weave but the players must be faster and more coordinated. Those two drills are used by my Varsity team and are great plays to "meet the pass", helping a players coordination and ability to run the ball up the court.

You should have them before practice get a partner and pass with a guard in front of them and make the person with the ball make a move against the person guarding them and pass it then the guard runs to the next person and the person with the ball now does the same thing and after a while switch the defender.
