Try going to the control panel and check the Accessibility options. You might have accidentally activated something there

It somes as if it has dirt or dust under the key pads. I had to buy a new keyboard for my Gateway desktop. It got a little dirty, and the third row of keys typed like 8 letters per key stroke. Those circuit boards inside are very delicate. I know, they are hard to keep clean, but it happens. Clean it with "air" first, and if you wipe it with a towel, do not use a lot of liquid, and do NOT use any kind of chemicals or soap. This can destroy the inside circuit board.

Sounds like you should spend a few bucks and buy a keyboard.
Never heard a keyboard beep, its probably coming from your computer.

There is a thing on your comp, that if you hold a key down to long, it will register to the comp, if you say it takes 5 secs, before it goes to comp, have some1 check comp, or get a new keybored
