I changed the Front Side Bus Frequency setting in my BIOS and now my computer does not boot properly. I have a MSI K8N SLI-F motherboard with Award BIOS ver 1.6. I increased the front side bus frequency with disasterous results. Computer will start up with hard drive activity but no video. Hard drive is active for about 15 seconds then idles. Is there a way to access my BIOS to change or restore the Front Side Bus Frequency value?

ok i honestly tried to find a clear picture of your motherboard to get you the exact jumper number but unfortunatly i couldnt. so you have to work with me here :) check you motherboard and look cloosly to you batery, next to it you should find three pin aligned next to each other with one jumer on 2 of them, what you need to do is to memories that and then lift that jumper and put it back on the other two (meaning you have to over lap the center pin and ise the one that was unused before) then turn you pc on, ull find that the screen is totall black, leave it for like 5sec then turn in back off then return the jumoer to how it was, and start it back on.. this will rest you bios settings back to its original defaults. best of luck

You should still be able to access bios on startup using the DEL key (or whatever the key is on your motherboard). Change the setting or reset to default then save.
