Yea i don't know what happened to my computer but whenever i try to open anything from my security center or the system restore, the menus pop up but there is just a white screen. And when i go to start then search the little character comes up but the lines to type in the search do not. And the last thing is the internet is kind of messing up too i think, cuz i can't click alot of links on webpages. (Like to view friends on myspace i can only view page one cuz the next button doesn't work)

as mine is running slow
also - do you have the Internet Explorer 7 for Yahoo?

Sounds like a virus to me, but I'm not for certain. Viruses affect a system by disabling parts of it so that what the other person is doing to or with your computer can't identify it. Internet accessibility is a good give away, also since you cant access your controls to make the computer stop is another.
Your best bet is to erase the hard drive and start over, if you don't know how, like me, take it to a retailer like Best Buy or Circuit City to do it for you, they charge, last time it was $60 and they found the problem was our daughter's limewire program that she was downloading stuff off the internet from share users.
No more limewire or kazaa for our daughter, she learned the lesson, too, we took it out of her allowance to pay for it.

Sounds like a virus, or some sort of infection. Boot into safe mode (by pressing F8 during boot up). Disable all network abilities and then do your System Restore.

But it look like you need to format your hard disk.
I sugest you put your file on CD
And format & Reinstall.
After put the file of cd in your computer.

Delete your temp internet files.Then run a free online spyware program (ad-aware is good) then run a virus scan (avg is free) then restart your computer...best of luck

it sounds like your computer is infected with either spyware, viruses, or adware. I suggest you download some reputable anti spyware or anti virus programs and scan your computer in safe mode

The best and only way to cure this problem is to reinstall windows.
I can't suggest any other way to cure this problem.
