how do I decifer an email that was written in russian, but is now gibberish?

my cousin wrote me an email, using a cyrillic keyboard but what i got was a bunch of random characters (not even normal letters!). i've tried changing the font to cyrillic, but that makes it even worse. HELP!!

Somehow you have to change "encoding" - if you're in Explorer, use Page/Encoding and try a few options - if you're in some other prog, try using "help" and entering "encoding".
