Both are correct. It depends on the context in which the word is used on how it is properly pronounced.
For example, you would use a two syllable pronunciation for the phrase "this blessed union" and a one syllable pronunciation for the phrase "we are truly blessed".

Both are correct...I prefer saying it as in "messed," but it kind of depends on whether you want it to rhyme with something or not. Sometimes, an author or poet will use one or the other so that it will rhyme with some other word. It is a flexable, and as the English language is mainly colloquial, it doesn't matter.

To pronounce the "ed" as in "naked" is to draw from Old English.

I think when it is used as a verb, then it is just plain "blessed". When it is used as an adjective, then it pronounced with two syllables bless-ed.

I don't guess there is a correct way to say it, it has to do with dialect and accent. Depends on where you're from. Me, I'm from Kentucky, so I do pronounce the 'ed', where I have peers who don't. (:

I think it depends on where you are from. I am from the South, when I talk to people who are from up North there is several words I say they don't know what I am saying. I don't know how to say what I am saying any different. Hahaha. So I don't think there is necessarily a correct pronunciation. I think it depends on where we are from.

Haha!! 'blesst' or 'bless ed' is simply a matter of choice... both are fine. (There is no governing body of 'American' English or any other form of English, for that matter.)

Because it's not spelled "bless'd"
also, it depends on how it's used. If it's being used as a verb, it's pronounced "bless'd." However, as an adjective, it's pronounced, "blessed."
