It is almuerzo.
"Lonche" is b.s chicano Spanish. A complete bastardization of Spain's "King's Spanish."
I'm a Colombian and it drives me NUTS hearing chicano's say crap like "rocque" or "troca" for "rock" or "truck" instead of "pierda" or "camion." Or when you ask some Chicanos how to ask for a ride and they say, "Pide un 'ride."
Gahhhhh. Bad Spanish grammar/vocabulary pisses me off just as much as poor rednecks and their piss poor grammar.
"lonche" is NOT proper Spanish and comida means "food" so it typically isn't used as a substitute for "lunch."

Wow. You are an laughable. I hear Spanglish because I have friends that are Chicanos and my mom is a middle school teacher in an at risk area of the city she lives in. The fact that you speculate about my economic condition when you know nothing about me shows just how ignorant and presumptuous you are. Who do you think YOU are, exactly? Besides..many people DO talk like that. Look at how many people posted "lonche" on this VERY question. Obviously, Spanglish IS pretty wide spread. It is nice to see that you have your "shrit" down with Spanish, though (whatever that means,). Enunciation is a completely separate issue from overall grammar or vocabulary. Most of Latin America doesn't use the Vosotros form from Spain either. No biggie. Regional dialects and ways of pronounciation are one thing. Completely bastardizing the language is another thing (Spanglish).
