I have some money that i found of my grandparents. There is some $5 bills that have red writing on them from the year 1963 series. Are they worth anything? Is there a web site i can find more information on?

These are U.S. Notes your are referring to. The $5 one are very common, and even in uncirculated condition, they are worth one a few dollars premium. A used one maybe about $7-$9. In 1963, U.S.Note were also made in $100 denomination. These are very rare and a used on in fine condition would bring about $150-$200, a new one about $ 300-$400.

Look above the picture - sometimes it will say something like "Silver Certificate" - those can be worth more than face value.

Best bet is to take it to two or three places that sell coins - they should be able to give a free appraisal (but don't just sell to the first one!!!)

Best of luck!

relies upon plenty on the area. i have were given some silver one dollar notes and they were worth round $4-$6. See in case you'll discover an same merchandise on e-bay. possibly flow to a coil broking service. finally nonetheless, something is in basic terms worth what someone will pay for it.
