i am selling a item for $250 us dollars this person is sending me a cashier check of $2,500us dollars.he told me to send him the rest of the money.based on trusting me.waz up with that???????

SCAM ALERT! SCAM ALERT! Do not send the item or any money to this person until have verified with your bank that the cashier's check is good and has cleared the other bank. Who in their right mind would send a total stranger $2250 because they trust them?

Its a con. If you send him the money left from the cashiers check, when you cash the check you will find out it is counterfeit and you will be out 2500 dollars. I saw this on 20/20 just a few weeks ago. Its a big con game going around. Please don't do it. You will be sorry. They play on your greed and you get stuck holding the bag.

It's a scam and you'll probably find the cashier's check is stolen or forged. I would suggest you report the buyer to your local authorities and, if done via an internet transaction, to the site sponsor as well. You don't want to get involved in this.

sounds like it could be a fake don't cash it. take it to the bank and have it checked out first.
