My favorite genere of books are the fantasy and the sci fi ones. For example Dune is my holy bible, the best sci fi book ever. I love the fantasy books written by Raymond. E. Feist.
As for the forbidden romance part, I love the Tristan and Isolde kind. The action should be placed in a medieval or fantastic scenery and for some reason or another they should be enemies, but they find themselves unable to do so. And so they are forced to see each other in secret. I'm not keen for a happy ending, and to tell the truth I actually like more the tragic stories.

Favorite kind of romance...well, most romantic stories have some degree or 'forbidden-ness', taboo, or restriction about them; after all, it's human nature to want what we can't have. I like romance stories where two different cultures collide (Asian/Western, Middle Eastern/European, Dutch/African, and so on).

Prefer modernist prose of the beginning of the 20th century. Almost every book I like used to be forbidden. As for love stories I love mystic ones with vampires

I like the Gangsta love stories about beautiful women dope dealers and fancy cars. the Dope dealers are always sexy and handsome and treat women like Goddess and the woman he loves is usually Beautiful, with a body thats perfect and the perfect attitude and she loves to have freaky sex with just her man. I know it sounds fake but so does all love stories in books but the gangsta stories are full of corrupt, decet, murder, betrayel, and they all take place in the hood.

I like books which are set in China or Japan, I suppose maybe because I am interested in the cultures.
Most are written by Chinese/Japanese authors, and their writing style is so unique and interesting.
