I had my wisdom teeth pulled and smoked right away and got 'dry sockets'. That's an infection in the wound where the tooth was pulled. I was so ill I almost ended up in the hospital. Please give yourself at least a week, and try to quit when you can.
Good luck!

This is an excellent time to think about quiting the nicotine habit. You do not need need tobacco or nicotine on that open sore, and since you are now not smoking, just continue with it, the small discomfort you may feel at this time, will be a the best thing you have done for your self and your health. Think about it and stay smoke free.

I know that smoking is harder to quit than for an alcoholic to stop drinking.
you will need to go on the step nicotine patch to help your cravings.
if you smoke u risk infection, dry sockets that will never heal.
YOU are probably going to ignore all of us and smoke anyway.
but why not try the patch and at least quit for the 7-14 days you need to let your mouth heal????
i'm not the enemy!!
you asked the question.
the patch will help.
cravings suck!!!
and don't be around smokers when they smoke it will damage your dental work and slow down healing time.
smoking slows the healing time.

you should wait at least one week after getting your wisdom teeth pulled before you smoke again.....if you smoke before then you run the risk of staining your teeth yellow and having serious health consequences..........
Stay healthy by waiting a week before lighting up that cigarette!

You should wait at least a week but if you can go a week without smoking then you should go ahead and quit that nasty habit. I quit 2 months ago and it feels great!
