Using a search engine such as YAHOO SEARCH (or any one of your choosing) type in: "English to Spanish Translator"
The closest and best match search engine finds will be #1 on the list of results. Click on it or any or all to find a website that may assist you. Or try to find "English/Spanish Dictionary"

P.S. If this fails you, my next suggestion would be to write out what you would like to email to your friend. Take this to a Spanish Professor in your area (check local schools) and ask them to help you.

If you know some basic Spanish words, just type here, in English what you can't translate, I will help you. I'm totally bilingual.
I also think is very Sweet of you to make the effort and try to communicate with your friend in her native language. That shows how much you care about your friend!!!
