Just wondering, because Italian is the only language most closest to original Latin, and is derived from the Latin language, are Italians classed as Latins, such as in the same way Spanish are??

I guess we are much more Latins as any other people of this World (Spaniards included)...!!! However when some Asker makes a question that requires an answer in Latin (I mean ancient Latin) just Spanish speakers are answering ,besides those ones who really knows ancient Latin. This should mean that they (the Spaniards) are feeling themselves more Latins than any other people and that's no true...!!
